Our crèche & nursery school in Obermenzing has a broad range of offerings, enabling us to provide our children with any amount of space, fun and variety. Our Minihaus at Menzinger Strasse in Munich provides high-quality private crèche and nursery school places. As in all our Minihaus nurseries, care was taken when designing the premises to ensure that they are built to a child-friendly design with facilities to suit requirements.
Particularly committed, qualified and sensitive education professionals work in a total of five groups, four in the crèche and one in the nursery school of our Obermenzing nursery. They do everything they can to make your little ones feel at home and secure, enabling them to explore and discover the world and develop into happy, socially competent, self-confident personalities with a love of learning. All the groups in our nursery are accommodated in a modern, high-quality new-build in which we paid particular attention to ecologically safe construction materials and coatings. In collaboration with our team of architects, we designed a day nursery which consistently focuses on the needs of children. House of the little bookworms: ‘Book Nursery’ quality seal
Our nursery in Menzinger Strasse has received the ‘Book Nursery’ quality seal: in 2019, the ‘Promote Reading’ working party of the Börsenverein des Deutschen Buchhandels [organization which promotes and supports the German book trade] and the Deutscher Bibliotheksverband e.V. [German Library Association] awarded this quality seal to Minihaus München for its outstanding commitment to the promotion of early-years reading. Minihaus München promotes enthusiasm for reading right from the start: it communicates fun in stories, pictures and language and aims to awaken children’s curiosity about reading from the very outset. At our Minihaus in Menzinger Strasse, we have a lovely library for this, with a large range of books in both English and German for all age groups in the crèche and nursery school. A spacious reading window also encourages the children to bury themselves in a book and to gaze out at the attractive environment.
We have "Ökokids" certification
Since 2019, our seven child daycare centres have held "ÖkoKids" [EcoKids] certification on the basis of their various sustainability and eco projects. All Minihaus nurseries implement their own educational eco projects: ranging from a herb garden tended by the children and harvested for lunch to the building and positioning of nesting sites and bug hotels, there is a great variety of eco projects, all providing the same high level of education. The main aim of the project is to foster sustainable development skills at an early age. With their natural curiosity and their marked enthusiasm for research, children can acquire a sustainable attitude to life and a sense of responsibility for the environment through play.
Attractive gardens for our little ones
Children need plenty of exercise in the fresh air and the opportunity to experience nature at first hand. This makes us all the more delighted that we can provide the children with a very attractive outdoor area adjoining our Obermenzing nursery. A large sandpit, playhouse, balancing beam and climbing net get every child’s pulse racing. Our garden encourages the children to let off steam, play, explore and have a game of hide and seek. Children can while away carefree hours in a quiet location without any road noise.
CO2-neutral, eco-friendly and secure
Our highly efficient heating and ventilation system with controlled room ventilation and heat recovery runs on groundwater and ground-source heat. Our CO2-neutral underfloor heating provides comfortable warmth while playing on the floor, without using fossil fuels. We give particular priority to your children’s security. An electronic access system ensures only authorized people can enter our nursery.

Our crèche and nursery school in Obermenzing are in a location which is excellent for children – in the heart of the city and yet well away from the road noise, hustle and bustle of the metropolis. We are in an exclusive residential area surrounded by old houses with attractively laid-out gardens and established trees. And your children are not the only ones to benefit from our good location: plenty of parking spaces and a bus stop in the immediate vicinity make it convenient for parents to pick up and drop off their children. * Childcare allowance
Childcare costs can be reduced by 100 euros a month if you apply for the Bavarian state’s Elternbeitragszuschuss [parents’ contribution allowance]. This allowance is available from 1 September of the calendar year in which the child turns three and is paid until he or she starts school.

The service charge is levied annually and covers our administration costs. In order to relieve our nursery managers and education staff of the burden of time-consuming administration, we have moved it to our office, enabling staff to focus on their educational work with the children.
Depending on family income, many parents can have some or all of their Elternbeitrag [parents' contribution] funded via the Wirtschaftliche Jugendhilfe [Youth Welfare Payments] provided by Youth Welfare Services. More information is available at: https://go.muenchen.de/kitabeitraege [in German]

Days we are closed
We are closed for two weeks during the Christmas holidays and two weeks during the summer holidays. There are also three days a year when the nursery is closed for educational staff planning days. We always give parents plenty of notice in writing of the actual days we are closed.
