Minihaus München

Obersendling private crèche & nursery school at Tölzer Strasse 2 in Munich

Our nursery in Obersendling in the heart of Munich | A place for children to feel at home

Our Obersendling day nursery is both a crèche and a nursery school. It is located at Tölzer Strasse 2, right in the centre of the Bavarian capital, and provides you with high-quality private crèche and nursery school places. What is so special about our crèche? We take children from as young as nine weeks. Our Tölzer Strasse Minihaus is generally designed for children aged up to six. We are pleased that this enables us to offer a proportion of the children not only first-class childcare but also the opportunity of being looked after until they start school. Particularly committed, highly-qualified education professionals work in a total of five groups in the crèche and two in the nursery school. They do everything they can to make your children feel at home and secure in our Obersendling nursery, enabling them to explore and discover the world and develop into happy, socially competent, self-confident personalities with a love of learning.

A very special nursery for your children

Our Obersendling crèche and nursery school at Tölzer Strasse 2 successfully marry traditional and modern architecture. The building was put up in the 1920s. In collaboration with our experienced team of architects, we converted it in loft apartment style to suit the needs of small children perfectly. Generously-proportioned, bright rooms full of sunlight and designed specifically with children in mind encourage your offspring to feel at home. Lots of animals painted on the walls of the hallways create exciting surroundings. Older and younger children alike love the high-quality play equipment and first-class interior design at our Obersendling nursery. In order to give the children lots of opportunities to explore, get to know one another and move about, we created secret accesses between the rooms together with large double doors.

What parents say about Minihaus Obersendling

“We are very happy. The staff are very kind, you get lots of feedback about the day when you pick up your child and the teachers are very nice. And the most important thing of all: our child feels very at home and loves to go to nursery. Very many thanks!” - (K. Kre. - Google)

“We have now been at the Tölzer Strasse Minihaus for a year and my daughter always loves going. At her last nursery, there was always a fight in the morning to get her there and then screaming when I left. Here, on the other hand, nursery staff treat the children with such kindness that my daughter no longer finds it hard to stay. The whole atmosphere is very calm, there are numerous attractive things for the children to do. There are lots of opportunities for running around and playing in the large garden. […] The nursery opening times are perfect for my working wife and for me. We can recommend Minihaus wholeheartedly - we have already registered our son to start in the autumn. Thank you to all the staff for their amazing work!!” -(Michael H. - Google)

“You feel as if you are in the jungle – there are exotic plants, brightly-coloured parrots, monkeys, butterflies, huge elephants wherever you look …what has been magically created on the walls here is like a landscape in a beautiful children’s book. I would like to have painted my nursery 30 years ago in this style. I have only positive things to say about the educational work, the staff are always as lovely to the children as they are to the parents and are highly skilled. My daughter and I are looking forward to going back into the jungle tomorrow …” - (Valerie L. - Google)

Obersendling crèche & nursery school | Impressions and awards

Our Obersendling nursery has eco-certification

All seven of our Minihaus day nurseries in Munich have held 'Ökokids’ [EcoKids] certification since 2019. We received certification in recognition of the various sustainability and eco projects implemented in our respective crèches and nursery schools. Each individual nursery location works with the children to implement its own individual educational eco project. For example, under the supervision of our education professionals, the children are allowed to build nesting sites and bug hotels for the creepy-crawlies. Another day nursery teaches children composting from a young age by helping them set up their own compost heap in the garden. This gives children the chance to see close-up how a leaf turns into humus. In a further example project, the youngsters are allowed to practise gardening by tending a herb garden and, when the time is right, harvesting it. The result is then turned into an enjoyable lunch and served. All the projects have one fundamental objective: the children are to experience fun and enjoyment, even in the early years, picking up skills in sustainable development. Thanks to the children’s natural curiosity and marked enthusiasm for research, they acquire a sustainable attitude to life and a sense of responsibility for the environment through play without any effort.

Obersendling nursery | A green paradise

No matter how great the building, what use would it be without a garden? Children need plenty of exercise in the fresh air and the opportunity to let off steam and experience nature at first hand. This makes us all the more delighted that we can provide children at Minihaus München in Tölzer Strasse 2 with approx. 1100 sqm of outdoor space. Divided into areas for the crèche and the nursery school, we have two very beautiful gardens to suit the children in the different age groups. Large sandpits, willow tepees and great playground equipment get every child’s pulse racing. The outside spaces of our nursery encourage the children to let off steam, play, explore, have a game of hide and seek or simply relax and enjoy nature.

Special services and key activities at our Obersendling nursery

Minihaus München Tölzer Strasse | CO2-neutral, eco-friendly and secure

Your children’s security has top priority at our Obersendling crèche & nursery. It is really important to us, which is why our nursery in Obersendling, like all our Minihaus facilities in Munich, is secured by an electronic access system. This makes sure only authorized persons have access to our nursery, so you can concentrate on your working day without worrying.

The environment and climate change are also a topic at our Obersendling nursery. In order to make a positive contribution to the environment and thus counteract climate change, we concentrated on eco-friendly measures when fitting out the nursery. We are now proud to state that our crèche and nursery school are eco-friendly and CO2-neutral. This was achieved by our highly efficient heating and ventilation system for example, which allows controlled room ventilation and heat recovery. The system runs on groundwater and ground-source heat and consequently operates entirely without fossil fuels, making it CO2-neutral. The children, too, enjoy the eco-friendly and cosy warmth of our underfloor heating when they are playing on the floor.
