A special chapter comes to an end

After ten years of dedicated work, Anja Bewersdorff, deputy manager of MINIHAUS München am Westpark, is moving on to a new chapter in her life. Her journey at MINIHAUS began in 2014 with an internship – and developed into a real success story full of passion, personal growth and deep connection.

‘If not now, then when?’ – With this thought in mind, Anja took the plunge into educational work as a career changer in 2015 after her former employer in the automotive industry filed for bankruptcy. In her first year at MINIHAUS am Westpark, she began her training as a nursery school teacher and just one year later took over as group leader of the Blue Minis. Her motivation? ‘I wanted to work with children – because they show us what the world can be like. And I wanted to give them something to take with them on their journey.’

What followed were years of intensive work, characterised by a great sense of responsibility, a deep understanding of education and strong team spirit. She was particularly impressed by the appreciation of the parents and the culture within the company: "If you do something, you get something back here. And if you encounter obstacles yourself, you're not left to face them alone."

As deputy manager, Anja was not only an important pillar of support for the team, but also a reliable link between children, parents and colleagues. Many of the latter have become true friends over the years. This makes saying goodbye all the more difficult: "I'm leaving with mixed feelings. I will miss the team here very much."

But a new chapter is beginning: Anja is moving to Brandenburg with her husband, where they bought a house a few years ago. ‘We always said: When we're older, we want to live there.’ In her new home, she wants to try her hand at youth work – and thus remain true to her calling: accompanying young people on their journey.
