Christmas initiative for families in need

In a few weeks’ time Advent will start. This is the time when special thoughts go to those affected by poverty. In Munich about 20 000 people in need depend on food distributed by the Münchner Tafel e.V. food bank.

In the coming days the educators at the various Minihaus locations will start the ‘Weihnachten für Kinder der Münchner Tafel’ Christmas project, for children of the Munich food bank. Each group will decorate one or two shoe boxes with seasonal decorations such as Christmas wrapping paper, stars etc. The carers will then fill those shoe boxes with little presents.

At the end of November all boxes will be brought together at our MINIHAUS in der Tölzer Straße for the children to hand over to the Münchner Tafel e.V. on 1 December. (ks/ah)
