Now, in autumn, being out of doors is particularly interesting for children. During the summer they may have walked past the chestnut trees without even looking at them. Now each of these trees causes a lengthy interruption of the walk because of their beautiful fruit. Bags and bags of glorious coloured leaves are collected, to be taken home and pressed between the pages of heavy books. But the children are in fact doing the right thing when they perceive and enjoy a walk with all their senses, just like our Minis did on this trip to the nearby wood.
