The DLRG and Nobbi at MINIHAUS München

Nobbi the Seal and two DLRG lifeguards visited MINIHAUS München and told the pre-school Minis what to look out for when in or near water.

„We make waterproof, we keep watch, we save your skin’ plays the little DLRG loudspeaker at MINIHAUS München in Pasing. Lifeguards Linh and Nils came to Pippinger Straße together with Nobbi the Seal. Lots of games, fun and dancing are used to teach the children important water safety rules and all the other things to bear in mind when near water. One of the tools for this is the DLRG song where the children join in, dancing and singing with enthusiasm.

The motto of the initiative: Verstehen durch Erleben. The children monitor the water activities just like real lifeguards and learn the meanings of the flags at the beach. One of the highlights: the ‘rescue operation’ using a rescue buoy; the parachute silk provided a colourful sea, one child played the swimmer in distress, another child was the lifeguard.

With today’s visit to Pippinger Straße the team of DLRG lifeguards completes this year’s Nobbi tour of the Minihaus sites. We say thank you to the DLRG for their commitment and look forward to next year!
